Meeting The Elysian 3rd Party

Description

The Elysian "3rd Party" walked over to the window as he explained the known history of the planet and possible future options.
Gemma, Blackie and Jed sat on the couch listening. They were not allowed to see his face.
"It would compromise my neutrality." Explained the 3rd Party. "Plus if my advice is bad, you won't know who to blame!" He chuckled.
It had been decided that Jed would stay at The Elysian Sanctuary and be part of the Re-genesis program,
sharing his genetic seed with several compatible mates the Elysians had selected for him. He still thought he may have died on gone to heaven
but he didn't feel dead.
The decision had irritated Blackie for some reason, But she wasn't sure why. She had never had feelings for Jed that way and he was kind of an idiot sometimes.
The Elysians offered Blackie the opportunity to fight against the Hegemony forces that had burned her village to the ground.
They now threatened the ancient Underworld and the Elysians needed all the volunteers they could find to protect it.
As much as they studied her, they could find no obvious life purpose for Gemma, other than she like to fly ships.
The Elysians had a stockpile of hovercraft left over from the war and few pilots so it was decided Gemma would be given a ship in order to aid Blackie
in her fight against the Hegemony.
Gemma had been giddy like a kid at a candy shop when she picked out her ship.
"You are all Elysians now." the 3rd Party concluded. "Blackie and Gemma will be given pass codes to get past the ancient defense systems, should you ever need to return here. You will be given the location of the secret entrance to The First Kingdom. Fly there and assess the situation.
We seek allies in the ancient guardian 'Wyrms' who dwell in the Underworld, and there are rumors their creators 'The Dark Ones' may still exist.
Both should be willing to help you in containing the Hegemony siege.
The 3rd Party turned to face them. His face shadowed by the hood.
"Good luck!" he said. "and remember, on Rodinia, you must find your own way."
They said their goodbyes and Blackie and Gemma made there way to the hanger where their ship awaited.

Blackie looked out through the tall windows of the walkway leading towards their new ship. It felt strange to leave Jed behind; he'd been with her through so much that she'd gotten accustomed to his company. But she'd be able to keep in touch through the transmitter automatically linked to The Elysian through the universal signal.
Her long ears perked at hearing Gemma unleash a heavy giggle at the sight of her new 'baby'. She wondered if she'd be able to keep her head straight with such a free spirit. So far, the pilot had showed no signs of loyalty to anyone, but she hadn't attempted to sabotage her, either. After all, Gemma had been kind enough to take her aboard to get Jed when he'd been kidnapped by Susan Strange.
Blackie sighed, wondering how things had been if that crazy Strange HADN'T taken him. Would they still be across the galaxy, overlooking that broken sea and its broken seaport?
Why was she feeling so anxious?
Must be the idea of coming closer to my purpose, she mused; the whole reason for crossing that desert had been to exact revenge on the Hegemony. Nothing had been more painful that seeing people she'd grown up with scattered in blood and destruction.
"So I guess we're going to The First Kingdom?" Gemma asked, trying to sound efficient. She waved her hand over the entrance pad and the ship's entrance lowered. "I love you Mokka  "
"Mokka?" Blackie tilted her head questioningly.
"This ship. Mokka. Doesn't she look like a Mokka?" Gemma hopped onto the step, Blackie joining her side, and the two floated into the ship's belly.
They entered the bridge to see the flight line leading to the stars open for their take off.
"Grab a seat," Gemma said, gesturing to the chair next to the captain's deck. She flipped a few switches and a loud, thudding sound shot out from invisible speakers. A few seconds in, a rowdy guitar solo joined in.
Blackie stared at Gemma.
"Good stuff, huh?"
"Uh... I guess."
Gemma then sat down and said "Take off."
The ship unlocked its gravity link to the port, giving the entire structure a jolt as it adjusted to anti-gravity. Lights flickered across the keys surrounding them and then, the ship darted forward across the line and broke into the vast black of space.
"I LOVE YOU MOKKA!!" Gemma screamed.
